For the past years, the United States government and healthcare officials are very alarmed and concerned when they have found out that there will be a high possibility that nursing shortage will occur in the coming years especially in 2016 because there will be several nurses that will be retiring at that point in time. No wonder that the United State government and healthcare officials are encouraging more young individuals to take the nursing course program in the different nursing educational learning institutes. Hospitals in the US are biggest employers of Nurses, says survey


A recent survey in the US reported that the biggest employers of local and international nurses are hospitals. The Department of Health and Human Services said as per record hospitals employed 56.2 percent of the total nurses that are now working in the US. This is also followed by the community health centers that are run by the government and private groups at 14.9 percent. The ambulatory care also got a total employment of 11.5 for nurses aside from physicians and nursed base practices.

The shocking revelation about the survey is that only 2.6 percent of professional nurses applied I nursing education and this perhaps explains the shortage in nursing professionals in the US, the DHHS continued. Though there are now boarding schools for nurses in the US to strengthen enrollments of more nurses. Other offices which also hire the services of nursing professionals include health associations, federal administrative agencies, State boards of nursing, insurance companies, jails, equipment and pharmaceutical companies.

The career education for nursing is now among the pressing concerns of the US government. For the meantime their solution is only to hire more nursing professionals as well as nursing aides in developed countries of the world while they experiencing a decline in nursing professionals in their country. Your Nursing School Graduation

This really is a special time and something you’ll only ever do once!  The days leading up to your graduation are an excellent time to meet up with class mates, go for coffee and discuss how far you’ve come, what you’ve achieved and what your plans for the future involve.  It may be that you are moving away from home to be a travel nurse and so you’re faced with one of the last opportunities with your class mates for a while to come.  Should this be the case, graduation week is the time to be making plans for visits!  Perhaps there’s a group of you who’ll be working in the same hospital; in this case, discuss the possibility of living together – after graduation you’ll be so busy with your new job you’ll find it near impossible to look for accommodation.  Most importantly, this is the last time you’ll have to discuss problems with your teaching nurses.  Have any doubts about your future career?  They can advise you having had lots of experience with recent graduates.  They could also refer you to a good career education advisor should you still not know what to do with your nursing degree.  Being the last week, don’t forget to take the opportunity to thank your teacher for everything you have learnt and the opportunities the nursing qualification has given you.  A great time to do this, if you are far too busy with other graduation activities, would be on Teacher Appreciation Day 2008.  This is a day on which the whole of your nursing class could reunite, to meet the teacher and discuss how your new nursing placements are going and how you have put your teacher’s wisdom to good use.  He or she will really be grateful for the feedback and it could serve to mould the next group of nursing students who’d benefit from your experience. 

 

On the day of the nursing school graduation itself, remember to take lots of photos, you’ll relish the memories when you’re older!  What’s more is to enjoy yourself and have some quiet time to reflect on your education and to plan your future; after all the stress of nursing final exams, this is an ideal time to clear your mind and focus on what’s really important. 

 

Your graduation is a special day, not just because it is the end of your nursing school education but because it’s the start of your nursing career!

But still, the nursing educational institutes have received the larger portion of the financial aid coming form the government because this the field that needs more focus especially that there state is in need of more nurses.

The money that was given by the Texas local government to the different healthcare educational institutions are allocated for nursing scholarship program, medical student scholarship, pharmacist scholarship, and for the purchasing of new educational facilities of health care field courses especially the nursing course. Just like the case of Angelo State University's Nursing Department. In which, they have converted the budget money that the government gave them into a 1.27 million scholarship grant for the individuals who want to pursue a nursing programs but don’t enough money to do. They have seen that this will be a great help in order to produce high caliber of nurses in their state. Indeed, the all health care institutions especially he nursing schools are very much supported to the call and the societal about the numbers of nursing personnel’s and other health care personnel’s.

Resolution for nursing shortage issue

Nowadays, the United States is still in there quest in fighting against the gradual decrease of the availability of nurses in the medical institutions. It was predicted that by the year 2020, around 400,000 nursing personnel will be out from the different medical institutions. That prediction will is quite possible. If that situation will happen, it is quite difficult to live without the presence of the nurses personnel. Just like this video entitled America needs nurses, in which it presented on how difficult it was to live without the presence of nurses in the different medical institutions. Since, nursing job is quite important in ensuring and maintaining the stability of the health status of all individuals in the society. In that manner, nurses are very much important in the society. As a result the, the United States government keep on encouraging young individuals to take a nursing degree program course in order to prevent the prediction of vast decrease of nurses by 2020.

One of the motivational program that will serve as encouragement for the young individuals to take a nursing degree course is the giving out of the different scholarship program to the different healthcare schools in the United States especially in the Texas. The scholarship program of Texas department of education gives chances to the individuals to obtain a nursing degree program whether vocational courses, undergraduate nursing programs, or master’s degree programs. This scholarship program will be a great help in fighting against the gradual decrease of nurses personnel.

As well, the Texas government also gives importance to the nursing educators or teachers by giving them a nursing Teacher Appreciation Day 2008 grand celebration. In which, this will be participated by all teachers and educators of the nursing school. Also, the nursing teacher celebration will start from May 4 – 10, 2008. This duration of celebration is a called teacher appreciation week 2008 celebration. In which, the fest celebration is dedicated to all teachers or educators in the United States especially the nursing teachers. Since, the nursing educators are the reason why nurses existed in the different medical in the United States.

It is important that nursing educators or teachers are given much important because there are the ones who molded and help a lot to produce lots of nurses in the nation with a high caliber potential in practicing its profession and giving out its health care service to the society. In that manner, their teaching profession can help strengthen the team of nurses in the nation. In that manner, it is right that nursing educators or teachers will be given a reward by just merely appreciating them and gives a total support or cooperation in their daily service. Teacher appreciation week 2008 celebration is one way to show appreciation and acknowledgement to the teachers especially the nursing educators.
