The nurses are now helping their respective governments with their huge income remittances from working overseas.

The income received by nurses from their employers in the US help their families. Many nurses send their salaries to their families back home. As a result, many families were able to put up decent housing projects and send more children to schools.

The salaries received by professional nurses and send back to their countries were also used to send their siblings and relatives to private schools. This means the doors which the US government opened to many nurses helped thousands of lives in the process. The education it gives to many of their relatives in their respective countries enabled other aspiring nurses to try their luck overseas after graduation.
- Tsunami effect
As a result of the many positive changes it gave to the families of nursing professionals, it also made a Tsunami effect on young generation to take up nursing degree after finishing their high schools. In fact, the nursing schools in many parts of the globe immediately spread like mushrooms. Doctors have also shifted to nursing for the mere purpose of working abroad.
There are several reasons lies behind the decline of population rate of nursing educators in the different nursing schools but the main reason is financial aspect. Financial aspect is the main core why there only few nurses who took the opportunity to be employed as educators. One of this is the lower rate of compensation that the nursing schools are offering. In that situation nurses will usually take the opportunity to be employed to the medical institution rather pursuing a teaching field in the nursing school.
Pursuing of becoming a nurse educator requires lots of factors to consider especially the financial capacity. Since, nursing schools only accepts nursing educators who undergone a master’s or doctoral degree of nursing program.
Acquiring a higher education of nursing field is very much expensive so those nurses’ individuals will just usually; pursue their nursing job in medical institution rather than going to nursing school. No wonder that there only few nurses want to pursue a career.
As well, despite of the low income offering of nursing teaching career, there are also nurses who took the opportunity to serve their fellow nurse by becoming a nursing educator.

It’s a challenge to the individuals who took up a nursing degree to make the best in their profession. As well, it’s also a great challenge to the government and educational institution to take the importance about the welfare of nursing educators especially now there population rate are declining.
Since, the nursing educators are the main core in producing more nurses in the society especially nowadays; nursing profession is facing great challenges. It’s time to strengthen their foundation by focusing their career building resources and as well, consider the needs of nursing educators such as their compensation and benefits.
One of the best strategies of promoting the nursing degree courses is through offering different scholarship for individuals who will take up a nursing degree courses. Just like the case in South California, where in around 67 nursing students of 27 colleges in that state will receive a scholarship fund that will support their educational nursing career education. The total amount of this scholarship fund will be $150,500. The scholarship fund was given by Kaiser Permanente institution. Kaiser Permanente is one of the leading integrated health plans and largest nursing employers in California. Kaiser Permanente’s have been given much support upon increasing the population rate of the nursing employees in United States especially in California area. As it was reported, around $4 million dollars have been release annually in order to support the educational needs of some nursing students. These $4 million dollars will be allotted for the Nursing Pathways, nursing scholarship, nursing loans, nursing career builder, and student nurse grant.
The scholarship programs of Kaiser Permanente have several categorical amounts. The scholarship amounts of $1,000 to $2,500 are to be given to the selected nursing students who will be pursuing the nursing degree. The nursing students who have qualified in this scholarship program have been chosen based on the examination that were conducted to them. As well, it was also base on their GPA rate in their previous educational status. To individuals who will be pursuing the nursing degree, the required academic excellence rate base on the GPA is a minimum of 3.9. While in the graduate or doctoral studies the GPA rate is 3.0. Usually, this can be applicable to the registered nurse who wants to continue their nursing studies. Financial status of the family is also the bases in giving a scholarship. As well, Kaiser Permanente will also give an additional $1,000 scholarship nursing awardees affiliated in their institution.
As well, Kaiser Permanente will grant $5,000 scholarships to their selected employees. These scholarship program are given to the employees who have exercise the qualities of commitment in leading the nursing system, demonstrate nursing knowledge, perform excellence in the nursing field and embody the spirit of service to others and to the Kaiser Permanente institution. Kaiser Permanente institution is very much helpful upon increasing and strengthening the nursing team and work force through giving different nursing scholarship.
In that matter, some educational institution in Maryland responded on the idea that was presented by the Maryland Hospital Association. The School of Nursing joins forces to the CafeFirst BlueCross BlueShield in order to develop regional scholarships that will the help in producing nursing educators or professor. In which, a certain graduate in nursing degree will be given to avail an scholarship program for another two years of learning for higher education in the nursing field. In which, the agency will cover its educational finances. After two years of learning, the nurses will automatically become a professor in the field of nursing. As well, the University of Maryland and John Hopkins put emphases upon the idea of developing and strengthening the nursing educators or professors. In which, it helps a lot to obtain a quality of education to nursing students. As a result, it strengthens the training team of nursing despite of their small population rate.
Another strategy was created is the establishment of nursing school to the different areas in the Maryland. In which, it will give venue to the students to pursue a career education in the field of nursing. In that matter the Maryland Higher Education Commission approved the newly established school of nursing in Morgan State University. As well, the governmental institution in Maryland also provided some financial support to the students who will pursue a nursing degree. The Government of Maryland will be releasing a $ 10 million dollars a year in order provide scholarships and grants for students who will be pursuing a nursing job in the future. This financial support is really great help to the students who don’t have much money to spend in their educational learning.
These different strategies help in strengthening the foundation of nursing field and somehow increase the numbers of individuals who wants to pursue a nursing career. In which, it will be a great help to cope up the demand of nursing supply in the medical institutions in the United States especially in Maryland.

The nursing profession in the US is a high-paying job but it’s also diffucult to work there. Those who were not able passed the licensure in the US were also forced to work as nursing assistant. Bobby Rodriguez, a nursing assistant also cried, saying he pitied the 21 residents of the institution because they don’t know where to go. He said workers have even volunteered to work without pay on shifting basis just to keep the 21 residents alive and sustaining. “Nobody cared for us and our problems.” The Mayfield Care Center has been under observation and investigation by authorities after there were reports the nursing school is no longer giving quality education. In November, the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, was found to have very poor quality. The situation in said school is no longer okay. It was David French the new administrator who had decided to close the school as it already pose danger and threat to safety, according to his attorney’s letter which was also furnished to the San Antonio Express-News.
In April 2007, the nursing home had already received complaints. The state regulator record showed that since April of this year the school has already a record of 17 violations. The violations were recorded in two categories, it was learned. It had 17 violations for federal standards and another 20 violations for state standards. Most of the violations recorded were on medication errors and staff members failed to give patients food to eat and water to drink. In fact, for safety violations, Mayfield was fined $100,000. It also owed government taxes of more than 100,000, the letter concluded. As of this writing the owner of the Mayfield is unreachable for comments.
The nursing information can be best appreciated in the information superhighway. In fact, the exchange of information between nursing students all over the world is no longer a problem. The nursing professionals can also get good information about job hiring in many parts of the world. They want to at least try their luck overseas while they’re young professionals and still very eager to look for greener pasture.
Ms. Eva Stallings is a registered nurse in the US and through the profession he graduated with flying colors many years ago she also found her lifetime partner, Greg Stallings. They were blessed with four happy kids in the metropolis of Manhattan. While she was working she also made it a point to finish her masteral degree in nursing until she got promoted from her job. Luckily, in 2003 she was offered by a big corporation to become their private nurse and the offer was big. Without much hesitation, she said, she gladly accepted the offer.
Last Nov. 29, 2007, it has been reported that the Western Governors University created a Online learning for Bachelor’s in Nursing Degree for Working Nurses. The program system was designed and created in order to help the working nurses develop their career in the most convenient and accessible manner.
