Since, these lifelike mannequins are being managed by a computer and operated by the person in charge on it. In which, the operator can change the life condition of the mannequins for the learners to be more exposed and have a glimpse about the different human conditions which allow them to be prepared as they forego their healthcare career especially in the field of nursing which is the most in demand healthcare profession. No wonder that most of the nursing schools in the country have now lifelike mannequins or dummies. Since, it was use for the advancement of nursing career in order to strengthen nursing team especially that numbers of nurses are depleting.
Columbia, SC – A top-rank organization in this part of the country is giving scholarship grants to some 30 students to solve the shortage of nursing recently experience across the state. This dilemma is encountered as in the past years there were large numbers of professional nurses who retired from the service including the reported failure of the state to campaign for more enrollees in colleges and universities where nursing professions are offered.
The BlueCross BlueShield Foundation of South Carolina will be granting $1.5 million to be used for the establishment of nursing scholarships through the South Carolina Nurses Foundation. The scholarship grants will be awarded to some 30 students who are envisioned to become registered nurses in the future to serve the people across the state, it was learned. South Carolina is very serious in solving the nursing shortage program by creating new breed of professional nurses through this scholarship grants. Colleges and universities in this country are now encouraged to hold higher degrees in nursing with a minimum of at least associate degree programs, baccalaureate and doctorate degree programs. Harvey Galloway, executive director of the foundation said he hopes the new scholarship program will entice more applicants in the future to pursue graduate degree in nursing. He said the nurses as members of the health care professionals are very important part of maintaining the health of the people. Thus, encouraging students to take up nursing is also very vital so that the shortage problem currently experienced will not happen again in the future.
South Carolina Nurses Foundation will administer the granting of scholarships to qualified applicants. The said non-profit foundation has existed since 1974. Unlike the student loan programs, this grant will not be paid back by the students after graduation. The first 30 batch of nursing scholars are envisioned to become members of the teaching force in colleges and universities to continue the program of strengthening the nursing profession in this part of the country, so as not to repeat the same shortage in nurses. They shall be prepared for the faculty role so that they will become successful leaders in the coming years by imparting their knowledge to others.
It has already been known that United States is really experiencing a shortage issue towards to its nursing personnel’s in the different healthcare system of the country. With that case, the government encourages the young individuals to get a nursing career course program in order to increase the population rate of nurses in the country. For that matter, the lawmakers especially the state in Oklahoma have created two strategies in order to uplift the status of registered nursing course. In which, the state government have decided that there must a nursing school that will only offer a registered nursing course program that will allow the learners to have a fulltime work at the same time continue their higher educational learning. The Oklahoma states have already chosen Murray State College in Tishomingo as one of the private schools that will offer a registered nursing course. During his 18 months active service in Iraq, Blansfield led two hospitals to support combat victims. Blansfield and his group treated soldiers and civilians. It doesn’t matter whether the wounded patients are US soldiers or Iraqi patients.
Donna J. Perry, RN, PhD Cited for community service, Ms. Donna Perry is an associate nurse scientist as well as associate director of the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Perry’s great contribution was recorded when she had successfully facilitated the exchange program for 400 nursing professionals in 30 countries. She had also developed a good and excellent nursing service for a specialized pediatric hospital in Iraq. The facility was the first in Iraq. Florida is one of the states that need a high rate of nurses in their different healthcare institutions due to the fact that the rate of the patients also increases but there are only few rates of current nurses who functionally do their job in assisting the physicians and looking for the welfare of their patients.
